| Presence All Over
the World
The technology of cast marble manufacturing was invented and patented in the USA in the nineteen-sixties.
The high mechanical and physical-chemical characteristics of cast marble and the variety of product application prove the perspective of cast marble as a new construction material providing a solution for a whole complex of tasks. Cast marble has perfectly recommended itself and has a major significance among the materials to be used in creating of the interior design.
This composite material can justifiably be called the material of the "new generation", the popularity of which grows every day.
This relatively new, ecologically clean material corresponds to all hygienic requirements and international standards. It is harmless for human health and the environment. It has been actively used in the construction industry in five continents for almost 50 years.
What is Cast Marble?
The term "cast marble" stands for a polymeric compound of a mineral filler and synthetic binder.
During the process a mixture of mineral and synthetic binder of precise consistency is used for in duration into the mould.
Marble powder is used as the mineral filler, forming over 80% of the total weight of the product.
In order to give the surface of the product higher strength and durability, the surface of cast marble is covered with a specific wear proof gel coating ("Gelcoat").
Characteristics of the Material
Cast marble enables to reproduce the beauty and elegance
of the natural marble or granite at a relatively small cost,
while its mechanical and physical characteristics even exceed
the properties of the natural materials. The natural materials
are characterized by lower strength and wear proof, and needs
more care.
The products made of cast marble are distinguished by their
excellent quality and extraordinary strength, elegance and
durability.
Flexible technology enables to manufacture products of various
shapes and colours.
Unlike most of the traditional construction material, cast
marble is always warm (when, in) to touch. This factor plays
an especially important role in manufacturing of sanitary
products, ensuring higher comfort perceived by the user.
The products are resistant to moisture and wear proof in
use, characterized by high light resistance and antibacterial
features, and due to the solid, non-porous surface, you do
not have to remove dirt from places out of reach in joints
and connections any more.
This material is perfectly suitable for manufacturing products
that meet the requirements of modern design and capable of
keeping up with the rhythm of serious competition with the
other, traditional materials.
Its drawback is its low resistance to abrasive wearing.
The resistance of cast marble to occurrence of scratches is
comparable to that of the varnish and paint coatings used
in the finishing of rooms and furniture. Casual scratches
can be removed with polishing.
The scope of exploitation is practically infinite. Any product
can be manufactured with the natural look and appearance of
marble shapes.
Why Namely Cast Marble?
Beauty – elegant and luxurious appearance.
Durability – the hard, non-porous surface
preserves its qualities even during a very long period of
use.
Hygiene – the products made of cast marble,
unlike of many other construction materials, have an absolute
smooth and non-porous surface that decreases the generation
and breeding of harmful bacteria on the surface of the product.
Easy care – a soft sponge, detergent and
water are all you need to take a regular care of the product.
Multiform design – different forms and technologies
of production enable the interior designers to accomplish
their creation through cast marble.
Cheapness – the labour intensity of the production
is incomparably smaller than for products made of natural
marble, which explains the relatively low price of the product.
